Awarded by Focus Money and ServiceValue: The PAYBACK app is one of the most customer friendly apps in Germany

The PAYBACK app is one of the most popular and customer-friendly apps in Germany and has therefore been awarded as "Best App". This is the result of a recent study conducted by the magazine "Focus Money" in collaboration with the consulting company Service Value. More than 400 apps from almost 50 different industries and categories were analyzed, with around 85,000 users taking part in the survey. "We are very pleased about receiving another award for our app. Over a third of our more than 31 million customers in Germany are already enjoying the advantages that the bundling of many PAYBACK services holds. The app is practical, simple and secure and offers a noticeable added value for our customers", says Michael Eichhorn, Director Digital POS and PAY. 

Eichhorn confirms that in times of Corona, many users have made the shift from using the PAYBACK card to using the app instead and that there has been an increased usage of the PAYBACK PAY mobile payment function. "Collecting points and paying contactless has never been so useful and in such high demand", says the PAYBACK expert. According to a survey by the Deutsche Bundesbank, PAY is the most frequently used mobile payment function in Germany. As a thank you for the considerate behavior of customers at checkout, the usage of PAY will be rewarded with double base points until May 31st. 

The study conducted by Focus Money and Service Value mainly put its focus on how satisfied people were with the overall handling of the app as well as the latest customer experiences. In the category "bonus programmes", PAYBACK  won against the frequent flyer programme Miles & More and the DeutschlandCard.
