dm-drogerie markt and PAYBACK extend partnership

dm Managing Director Christoph Werner: “Expectations met in full – plans to work together to achieve growth first and foremost in the digital and mobile segments” 2013 was an extremely successful year for PAYBACK

As of 1 January 2014, dm-drogerie markt will extend its partnership with the leading loyalty programme PAYBACK by a further five years. The Karlsruhe-based company has been a partner in the PAYBACK network since October 2000 and is now one of the most successful partners in the programme in terms of relevance, reach and presence. At the same time, dm is also one of the most active companies when it comes to making innovative use of the PAYBACK multichannel marketing platform. “PAYBACK has met our expectations in full. In the coming months, we plan to work together to achieve growth first and foremost in the digital and mobile segments,” says dm Managing Director Christoph Werner.

dm currently has more than 1,500 branches and generates total sales of over EUR 5.84 billion in Germany. dm customers collected PAYBACK points on over 50 percent of the generated sales. The joint campaign “4 Decades of dm” launched to celebrate the company’s anniversary was one of the most successful in PAYBACK’s history and played a huge role in raising the popularity of digital and mobile coupons with customers. For example, a record-breaking 1.2 million users redeemed eCoupons in just one month.

“dm-drogerie markt’s decision to build on our partnership in the long term attests to its confidence in the performance of our employees and our programme. We aim to generate even greater added value for PAYBACK customers and dm in the long term,” says PAYBACK CEO Bernhard Brugger. Thanks to this contract extension and new partners REWE (to start in the first half of 2014), Opel, Telekom, Dehner and Expedia.de, 2013 has been a great success for PAYBACK.
