The large PAYBACK online marketplace, with more than 700 partner companies, has a new leader in Sebastian Hasebrink, an expert in digital and e-commerce. As VP of Digital Sales and a member of the executive board, he is responsible for the further development of PAYBACK’s e-commerce business and succeeds Torsten Hautmann in this role, who is leaving the company at his own request after eleven successful years.

Together with his team, Hasebrink will work to attract new partners, further expand and market digital products, and tap into growth potential for PAYBACK and its partners. “We are very pleased to have secured Sebastian for this key position. His expertise at the intersection of retail, e-commerce, technology, data, and marketing will help us consistently advance our online business,” said Dominik Dommick, Managing Director of PAYBACK.

“What makes PAYBACK special to me is the combination of enormous reach, data-driven management, a broad partner network, and a unique multi-partner approach. This is a strong foundation on which we can continue to expand our growing e-commerce business in a targeted manner - with clear added value for our partners and tangible benefits for our customers,” said Hasebrink.

Sebastian Hasebrink has more than 10 years of experience in e-commerce, omnichannel retail, digital transformation, and corporate development. Most recently, he served as Co-CEO and Managing Director at asambeauty. Prior to that, as Chief Digital Officer and a member of the Executive Board at Deichmann, he led the company’s digital transformation across twenty markets. Hasebrink gained entrepreneurial experience as the founder and managing director of the art and design marketplace JUNIQE. After stepping down from day-to-day operations, he continued to support the company as a board member until its sale to the MYPOSTER Group. Hasebrink’s other professional roles included positions at the strategy consulting firm Roland Berger and on the advisory board of Oetker Digital.
