PAYBACK and Thalia extend successful partnership and expand range to include new toy retailers

PAYBACK and Thalia are continuing their long-standing collaboration and taking the next step together: the successful partnership will not only be extended, but also expanded to include a new segment from January. The brick-and-mortar toy stores Spielwaren Krömer and Toysino, which have been part of the Thalia Group since October 2025, will be fully integrated into the PAYBACK network. This will create an even more attractive and diverse shopping experience for customers.  

Thalia sees the continuation of the cooperation as an important step: “PAYBACK is a key partner for us when it comes to offering added value to our customers and consistently implementing our omnichannel strategy,” emphasizes Roland Kölbl, Managing Director of Sales e-Commerce and IT at Thalia. “By integrating the Spielwaren Krömer and Toysino specialty stores into the PAYBACK program, we are combining the joy of reading with the fun of playing – while at the same time strengthening the appeal of brick-and-mortar retail.”

The technical integration of the additional specialty stores will take place at the beginning of the year. Customers will then also be able to collect and redeem points at toy retailers – both in-store and online. PAYBACK and Thalia are thus sending a clear signal for partnership-based growth and innovative customer experiences.
