Partnership extended by a further five years

Bochum/Munich, 8 March 2017. Aral has extended its contract with the market-leading bonus programme PAYBACK by another five years until 2022.For the past 11 years, PAYBACK customers have been rewarded with points for fuel, shop purchases, bistro items and car washes at around 2,450 petrol stations in Germany. “We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with PAYBACK as it has definitely proved its worth. The bonus programme offers significant customer benefits and is our way of saying thank you to our customers for their loyalty,” said Patrick Wendeler, Chairman of the Management Board of Aral. Over 29 million active PAYBACK customers can collect points every time they visit an Aral petrol station and redeem them in different ways, including when paying for their petrol.

“PAYBACK also enhances our marketing activities at a digital level,” said Wendeler. Since October 2016, customers have been able to use the PAYBACK app at Aral to collect points, activate coupons and pay for purchases on their smartphones

“Long-term partnerships are crucial both for PAYBACK's success and for its attractiveness to customers. We are therefore delighted to receive this vote of confidence and will do everything we can to support Aral in the expansion of its market leadership and in its digital transformation,” said PAYBACK CEO Bernhard Brugger.
