The PAYBACK APP is the "most customer-friendly app 2024"

The PAYBACK app has once again received a special award: it has been named the "most customer-friendly app 2024". This is the result of a recent online study by 'Focus Money' in collaboration with the analysis and consulting companyService Value.
Germany's largest and most popular bonus program not only came out on top in the "Bonus programs" category, but with a score of 2.18 it is also the best-rated app overall out of over 548 applications examined in 48 different categories. This puts the PAYBACK app at the top of the overall ranking across all sectors, ahead of apps from PayPal, OTTO, Wetter Online and Check24, for example, and makes it the best app of the year for the third time in a row.

"We are doing everything we can to make mobile use of our program as easy and convenient as possible for our customers. That's why we bundle many services in the PAYBACK app, such as collecting points, redeeming points, activating coupons and making mobile payments, and are constantly developing the app further - for example with location-based services, Fuel & Go, gamification elements and other new applications that are coming soon," says Daniel Pfeifer, Director Global Consumer at PAYBACK.

The PAYBACK app enables a total of 31 million PAYBACK customers to store offline and online at almost 700 partner companies, collect points, redeem them and save money, and with PAYBACK PAY it also offers one of the most popular mobile payment functions in Germany. Almost 12 million customers take advantage of the PAYBACK program on their smartphones. The app is already being linked very successfully with apps from partner companies and enables a combination of wide reach and personalization. For example, PAYBACK PAY smart was recently integrated into the dm-drogerie markt app so that users can use both apps in a very pragmatic way.

The study is based on an online survey in which participants select apps that they have used themselves in the last 12 months from a selection of apps that they consider manageable and rate them in relation to the question: "Overall, how satisfied are you with the use of the following applications (apps) as a smartphone service?". Using a five-point answer scale, a mean value is calculated for each app rated. The lower the mean value, the higher the respondents' satisfaction. Apps whose satisfaction scores are better than the category average are labeled "Top App". The apps with the best satisfaction scores within their respective categories are awarded the title "Best App". The study was conducted independently of the providers evaluated.
