German loyalty programme provider PAYBACK adds support for passbook

Munich, Germany – From today, Germany's market-leading PAYBACK bonus programme is offering users the ability to access their digital PAYBACK coupons conveniently via Passbook. “More than 20 million customers use PAYBACK offline, online and on the move. Adding support for Passbook marks the next milestone of our multichannel strategy and will make managing and accessing mobile coupons even easier for our programme members,” says Magnus Schmidt, Head of Digital Marketing at PAYBACK.

The TÜV certified PAYBACK mobile app for iPhone and iPod touch has already notched up over 600,000 downloads and nearly two PAYBACK coupons are being activated every second.

Apple’s Passbook is easy and convenient to use. When a customer activates mobile coupons using the PAYBACK mobile app, an "Add to Passbook" icon automatically appears and users can add the coupon to their Passbook folder with one simple tap. Then, when the user is close to a partner branch, a notification will be displayed on the lock screen on their iPhone or iPod touch, making accessing and redeeming coupons easier than ever before.
