Customers soon will also be able to pay online with PAYBACK PAY

In future, over 31 million PAYBACK customers in Germany will also be able to pay with PAYBACK PAY when shopping online. In addition to mobile payment with Germany's largest bonus program, customers will also be able to pay securely and easily online with PAYBACK PAY and collect and redeem PAYBACK points in a single step. The new service was announced today by PAYBACK Managing Director Dominik Dommick and Martin Dallmeier, Managing Director of dm-drogerie markt, at the EHI Payment Congress in Bonn. dm is acting as PAYBACK's innovation partner for the new online payment function.
"It is a logical and important step to offer online payment in addition to our now established mobile payment in stores. It also combines the entire service bundle for online shopping: customer identification, collecting points, redeeming and paying - securely and quickly in one step," says Dominik Dommick. "We recently integrated PAYBACK PAY at all PoS touchpoints and in our dm app, thus linking the services of both companies even more closely, and we are now also implementing this for the dm online store. With PAYBACK PAY as an additional online payment service, we are making our customers a practical offer with tangible added value and additional PAYBACK points," says Martin Dallmeier. After dm, further PAYBACK partners will follow, where customers will be able to pay online with PAYBACK PAY.

The PAYBACK PAY mobile payment function, which works both by direct debit and with a stored credit card, has been available since 2016. PAYBACK PAY is now one of the most important digital payment services in Germany. Around 11.7 million customers are already taking advantage of the PAYBACK app at around 700 partners. The app can be used to activate coupons, make purchases, collect, redeem and donate points, make payments and enjoy many other app benefits. Among other things, the "Fuel &Go" function was recently added, which allows customers to pay and collect points directly at the petrol pump when filling up - without having to wait at the till.
