PAYBACK and Hermes step up their cooperation

Hamburg, Munich – PAYBACK and Hermes, Germany's largest private logistics service provider, are extending their cooperation. Since the end of 2011, it has been possible to earn PAYBACK points when using Hermes' online parcel service to send packages following a quick registration process at www.myhermes.de/PAYBACK. And now PAYBACK points are also available when sending packages from any of the company's 14,000 PaketShops.

Thanks to cooperation between PAYBACK and Hermes moving to the next level, PAYBACK is boosting its presence on the German market. As a result, members of the loyalty programme can now earn points by showing their PAYBACK card at a total of no fewer than 36,000 points of sale. What's more, an increasing number of the 20 million PAYBACK customers are also collecting points when making purchases at over 500 online shops.

“Our cooperation with PAYBACK, which started last year, is going so well that we have decided to extend the partnership. By doing so, we aim to raise our profile further still and reach even more PAYBACK users in the future. At the same time, we are creating further incentives for customers to use our service to send packages and parcels,” says Frank Iden, Chairman of the Executive Board of Hermes Logistik Gruppe Deutschland.

“This partnership greatly increases the opportunities for us to make further contacts in the stationary retail trade. The possibility of collecting additional points without venturing far from their homes creates tangible added value for our customers and also makes our marketing platform more attractive for new partners,” adds Bernhard Brugger, CEO Central Europe at PAYBACK GmbH.

PAYBACK is the first German loyalty programme to include a logistics service provider in its partner portfolio. Customers receive one PAYBACK point for every euro they spend. What's more, the two cooperation partners are planning regular special offers that will enable customers to earn themselves extra points by presenting special coupons. This will create an additional incentive for new customers in particular to send their packages via Hermes.
