The new PAYBACK travel website www.payback-reisen.de may have been launched only recently, but it already has reason to celebrate. In its recent survey of 27 travel websites, the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ, Hamburg) concluded that payback-reisen.de, start.de and weg.de offer the best-value travel. The study was carried out on behalf of television magazine TV14 and analysed the service quality and conditions of 17 German travel agencies and 10 tour operators. Launched in January 2008, payback-reisen.de is the only travel provider to offer the chance to collect PAYBACK points with each booking.
According to Bianca Möller, Managing Director of the DISQ, the study aimed to identify the best travel websites for package holidays: “Germany is the world champion in terms of travel. In 2007, the amount of money spent on travel by Germans reached a new record level. Online bookings are becoming increasingly important and the number of websites is growing constantly.”
Over the next three years, payback-reisen.de is set to become one of the leading travel websites in the German-speaking world. "Over 60 percent of German households have a PAYBACK card. Millions of members will welcome a broadly based travel platform that offers fair, low-cost offers and a real sense of added value. We are delighted that the services offered by payback-reisen.de are being recognized so soon after the site’s launch," comments Bernhard Brugger, Member of the PAYBACK Board of Management and head of PAYBACK Partner Management.
