RUNNERS POINT and PAYBACK extend partnership until end of 2015

Recklinghausen, Munich, 14 August 2012 – RUNNERS POINT, the leading retailer of sports shoes, functional textiles and accessories with branches throughout Germany, has extended its contract with Germany's biggest loyalty programme PAYBACK ahead of time until the end of 2015.

Both companies have been working together since November 2009 and have now chosen to continue their successful partnership. Around 50 percent of households in Germany now have a PAYBACK card, eight out of ten Germans are familiar with the brand and RUNNERS POINT is set to benefit from this in future, too. "PAYBACK is an innovative multichannel marketing platform with enormous scope. We can send our customers targeted and relevant offers for effective marketing", says Edgar Mohnfeld, Marketing Director of RUNNERS POINT.

"With our tried-and-tested marketing platform and the additional new channels such as online couponing, deals, Facebook and the PAYBACK app, we offer our partners excellent opportunities for performance-oriented multichannel marketing," says Bernhard Brugger, CEO of PAYBACK Central Europe. “In return, long-term partnerships play a crucial role in maintaining PAYBACK's appeal. We are therefore delighted that RUNNERS POINT has chosen to reaffirm its confidence in our programme by extending its contract with us”.

RUNNERS POINT follows PAYBACK partners such as WMF, Aral, Dänisches Bettenlager, Depot, Apollo-Optik and Galeria Kaufhof as another attractive partner company to have extended its contract with PAYBACK by several years in the last few months.
