Straight to the point - Hermes now a PAYBACK partner

In the future, it won’t just be the recipients who benefit when customers choose to send their parcels with Hermes Logistik Gruppe Deutschland GmbH (HLGD). That’s because, from now on, the sender will automatically collect PAYBACK points for every euro spent on mailing. Points can be redeemed at www.payback.de for vouchers or items such as technical equipment, household appliances, children’s toys, etc. Hermes is the only delivery service provider that offers its customers the chance to collect PAYBACK points.

Germany’s leading loyalty programme will award Hermes customers points for sending a parcel, with one PAYBACK point corresponding to one euro cent. The cooperation with PAYBACK covers all types of parcels, from small packages to XXL parcels. All customers have to do to use the programme is complete a one-off registration at www.myhermes.de/payback. After that, the customer will automatically be awarded the corresponding number of points each time he uses an online package voucher or sends small packages or other parcels.

“This collaboration will boost awareness of our brand and enable us to access an extremely attractive target group in the shape of the 20 million active PAYBACK users. At the same time, we will be creating added value for Hermes customers and offering even greater incentives to choose our company when sending packages and parcels,” explains Frank Iden, CEO of HLGD. Packages can be sent from any of the 14,000 Hermes PaketShops located throughout Germany. Whether in the nearest kiosk, the bakery or the local petrol station, Hermes always puts great value on personal contact with its customers. The extended opening times of many PaketShops are designed to cater to the needs of those who work throughout the day. “Hermes has received many awards for its excellent quality of service, making it an ideal addition to our community of partners. By expanding our portfolio with our very first delivery service provider, we are making our programme even more attractive,” comments Bernhard Brugger, CEO Central Europe at PAYBACK.

The two companies are planning to work together closely in the future. Plans are in place for a number of joint campaigns that will offer special benefits to customers. The first campaigns will be launched before the end of this year.
