PAYBACK expands marketing team to match growth

Marketing Manager moves from Paypal to join Europe's largest loyalty programme

The PAYBACK loyalty programme is setting its course for the future by appointing former Paypal DACH manager Dominik Dommick as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Central Europe. The current Head of Marketing, Marco Lunger, will assume responsibility for Marketing and Brand International with immediate effect.

“The incredible speed at which PAYBACK is developing offline, online and in the mobile sector is creating entirely new challenges in the field of marketing communications,” says Bernhard Brugger, CEO Central Europe at PAYBACK. “That's why we are delighted to welcome Dominik Dommick, an experienced marketing professional with great expertise in the online sector. Meanwhile, Marco Lunger will be working to build up the brand in additional international markets.”

Dommick (39) is moving to PAYBACK from Paypal. As CMO, he is responsible for developing end customer business in Central Europe. A qualified economist, he was Head of International eMarketing NIVEA at Beiersdorf AG before joining Paypal in 2007. As Head of Marketing at Paypal, he spent the past few years establishing the brand as the most secure online payment channel in the German-speaking region.

Over the past few months, PAYBACK has not only launched in Poland and India, but also greatly expanded its online and couponing options for customers. In addition, the programme is now also available in mobile format via apps. “It is a very exciting time to be joining PAYBACK. The programme is in the process of developing from a successful retail-based customer card into an international, multi-channel marketing platform,” says Dommick.
